Our newest shirt design features a striking woodcut of an axe-wielding Joseph, patron saint of workers, hewing out a massive trough from a log as cherubic helpers gather up the waste chips and shavings. This image, inverted in white water-based ink on vintage black 100% cotton, is bordered on the front with an empowering charge drawn from a quote by John Ruskin: “Build For Ever.” The back of the shirt features the entire quotation and attribution. Ruskin penned these words in 1849, desiring to challenge his readers to consider that their creations will outlive them. We should all seek to build, create, and craft in the knowledge that our works will last through the centuries, carrying on our legacies in a meaningful way.
These shirts are screen printed with water-based ink by Triple Stamp Press. They have a wonderfully soft vintage feel.
